I was born on Oktober 19, 1974, went to elementary school and junior high school, and was kicked-out of high school because they thought I was to stupid to learn anything..
Then I went to a Technical school because I liked building things. However, during my training period I found out companies were way too doom to work for so I ran off to the Willem de Kooning art school in Rotterdam, where I had a very hard time being accepted because I never made any real drawings before entering art school…
I studied illustration there which also was kind of hard in the beginning because I never make any sketches. Together with some like-minded people in my class I started Antistrot somewhere in 1997. In 1999 I worked out a plan to do an exchange study in Tokyo, Japan, which eventually succeeded., In between hanging out and partying I did a lot of drawing on the street and every other place I could over there, and when I arrived in Holland again, the art-school bobo’s liked it so much they decided to publish my sketch-book, which drew the attention of magazines and agencies and made it possible to make a living from drawing ever since.,
